Josie's Dragonfly Trust
Dedicated to Brightening the Lives of Children & Teenagers with Cancer.
Josie Madeline Grove designed the Dragonfly Pendant in the last month of her life in the hope that she could make a difference to the children and friends with Cancer that she was leaving behind. Josie had Acute Myeloid Leukemia and died in 2007 after a long battle and two bone marrow transplants, aged just 16.
The first Dragonfly samples arrived just 4 days before Josie died and she was absolutely thrilled with them. Through the Dragonfly Pendant Josie’s strength courage and happiness lives on and she continues to inspire many thousands of people all over the world.
Josie’s Dragonfly Trust makes a huge and real difference to children in cancer hospitals across the UK and especially to children & teenagers, where treatment is no longer considered curative.
Silver items start from 17 pounds and include a 5 pound donation to Josie’s Dragonfly Trust. Gold items are also available which include a 20 pound donation. The charity also relies heavily on fundraising and donations.

We'll only remember the good things
Like the day when our baby was born.
How she filled all our lives with such pleasure,
Never knowing that now we would mourn.
We'll only remember the good days,
Like the day when she ran to our arms
And she flashed her big smile so endearing
And displayed her unique baby charms.
We'll only remember the good things
Like the presents she wrapped with her love
And presented her heart to her parents
Like a gift straight from heaven above.
We'll only remember the fun times
When our family would gather as one,
And our laughter would fill all our household
At the antics of her, our dear girl.
So today though we mourn at her passing
And we wipe sorrow's tears from our eyes,
We'll remember this Daughter whom God gave us
And brought so much joy to our lives.

When I laid there beside you,
Could you feel me there?
My arms were wrapped around you,
And I was stroking your hair.
I was talking about all the good times,
For me they were every single day.
I wanted you to feel love and comfort,
And happy in some way.
I watched your every breath,
And prayed that each one wasn't your last.
The time we got to share together,
Went by too quick ...Too fast.
I wanted you to wake up,
Please Angel ... Open your eyes.
Tell me this is a nightmare,
And not our Goodbyes.
As your last breath grew closer,
We lay there peacefully together.
My heart continually breaking,
Because I wanted you forever.
Then there it was,
Your final breath of air.
I didn't want to believe it,
This is so cruel, and not fair.
I held your beautiful face,
And prayed you'd breath again.
I wasn't ready for you to go,
I couldn't admit that this was the end.
But then I realized, that you were now in peace,
And not suffering anymore.
You were beginning the life of an Angel,
And your body would no longer be sore.
I held you close and squeezed you tight,
And tried to say Goodbye.
I've lost my girl and my number one Best Friend,
All my heart could do is cry.
I slowly got up,
I wanted so much to stay.
I leaned over and gave you one more kiss,
It was so hard to walk away.
Angel you are my entire world,
And I miss you so very much.
I wish I could feel your loveable cuddle,
And your soft and gentle touch.
But for now I have to wait,
Until we meet again.
You will always be in my heart and thoughts,
My Dear Daughter and Best Friend.

HOW WONDERFUL WAS JOSIE?
I felt privileged to have read Josies Story, how tragic she has flown to Heaven but now free from pain, ive been on the website and intend to buy some jewellry from it for my sisters birthday as she adores dragonflies and in fact had bought the book many years ago for my Nephew when my Dad was dying, Josie must be one special angel in heaven, Happy Birthday Josie, god bless you all x x x
